Cops: Man charged with operating boat while intoxicated in deadly Navesink River collision refused sobriety test afterward

The Asbury Park Press reports a Middletown Township man at the helm of a boat that collided with another in the Navesink River on Sunday that left one man dead refused to take a sobriety test following the incident, state police said.

George E. Harrington, 39, of Browns Dock Road in the Navesink section of the township, is charged in a summons with operating a 20-foot Boston Whaler while intoxicated after he refused to take a sobriety test, according to Lt. Stephen Jones, of the New Jersey State Police . . . .
